THE THERAPIST
Bianca Thoma, RMT graduated from the West Coast College for Massage Therapy in April 2018 and is a registered practitioner with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia.
BENEFITS OF MASSAGE THERAPY
Massage Therapy has been shown to have positive effects by decreasing stress, pain and muscular tension as well as to help increasing circulation and mobility. It is an effective approach for the treatment of muscular imbalances and the rehabilitation from injuries and surgical interventions. Massage can help to decrease the signs and symptoms of many conditions, including headaches, osteoporosis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, scleroderma, irritable bowel syndrome, as well as respiratory-, circulatory- and nervous system dysfunctions.
WHY CHOOSING A REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST (RMT)
Registered Massage Therapists are regulated Health Care Professionals that are trained in the assessment and treatment of conditions. The training of RMTs includes a wide variety of techniques, such as General Swedish Massage, Myofascial and Trigger Point Release Techniques, Joint Mobilizations, Hydrotherapy and Therapeutic Exercises. As Health Care Professionals, RMTs adhere to a code of ethics that obligates them to always keep your safety and best interest in mind, as well as to continuously update their education. Many health insurances reimburse the costs for Registered Massage Therapy.
